Took my 800 efi cce up to the U.P. last weekend and only put on 30 miles, (trails were like a sno cross track & wife could'nt take any more.) Anyway, when I got back home, I was hoseing off the snow and noticed both coupler blocks were shattered and the rear arm was messed up a bit from the blocks being broke. Will be covered under warranty but just want to know if this has happened to anybody else? I was'nt beating on it at all, taking it easy for break in!

Give it a try it can't hurt to try all they can say is no and then you can say maybe Polaris will help me out when I buy a new sled from them next year.

800eficc,  I have 400 miles on my 800efi cc and haven't had that problem, don't know what it could be. But i noticed that the clutch makes a slight clunking sound at high idle when engine is cold but goes away when idle comes back down and doesn't happen while riding. Did you notice your key goes in the ignition upside down? I turned the switch around the way i'm used to.Don't know why they did that. Love the sled otherwise ,awesome torque and power! Great ditch banger sled!

My dealer already said it will be warranty, just wanted to know if this happened to any body else. As far as buying a Polaris, something very drastic would have to happen to my cat before I did that! Although, I did ride my friends Edge 800 for a little bit, not bad. He was more impressed with my sled though, he could'nt stop talking about it! I think maybe he's the one going to make the switch! I did think the Edge chassis was the most comfortable Polaris I've ridden, nice and smooth ride. A little down on power compared to mine.

also keep an eye on the two rear bolt that hold the suspension to the tunnel. i lost mine and the other side was half out. luckly i noticed it in a town (silver city mi) and the owner of the motel took me in his workshop in his basement to find a matching bolt. what a pain to get that bolt in without the right tools! other than that i love it. it's a rocket!  --goose--

FYI...in case you have this problem again, www.rvsports.com advertises blocks for guys that want to upgrade...if theirs are made of something other than plastic, you may want to inquire.  Am thinking of adding them to my 01 ZR800...do you think their worth it??

I have 400 miles on my ZR800. I removed the coupler blocks after 200 miles due to the fact that the sled would not hook up. Tried all three positions on the blocks and all it would do is spin. Hooks up nice without the blocks but with lots of front end lift. The machine launches pretty straight though. The ignition key is annoying and I too have turned mine. Ihave one problem with starting when the engine is warm (efi). It will fire on one pull, run for three seconds then die. Have to hold throttle open for it to fire again. Seems like its getting to much fuel.

DIGGER, boy am I glad you mentioned that clutch clunk because my "01" makes the same noise. I have 1600 mi. on the sled. I removed the dr. cl. and it s fine. I was wondering what to do next? It seems like that is a normal noise. I noticed that noise when I was checking the eng. timing at 3000 rpm. Had me worried because I bought that sled used. Whew!!!

Augie, I'm computer illiterate ,what is the dr.cl.? I was also wondering what your max. rpm. is at top speed? I heard that it should be around 7500 rpm. On mine it hits 7500 rpm. pretty much all the way up to top speed but then the revs. kind of fade back to around 7100 at wide open. I'm just wondering if this is normal?

Locktite the rear bolts.  There should be some in there but there is not.  Had them fall out also.  No problems witht he blocks and I have 461 miles of moguls at 60 mph.  If they were going to break it would have happened.

DIGGER, my eng. runs right at 7500 all the way to top end. The power band is 7500 to 7700.  If your revs fade back to 7100 at WOT I would say that your eng. is getting fat at the top. You might want to jet down to 420 (1 size) and see what happens. Stock is 430. I haven't installed my sleds onboard computer yet (egt, egt, rpm, coolent temp and jackshaft rpm) but mine is running ok on 420's. Oh, dr. cl. = drive clutch.
