Crank Seal Test

Would anyone be able to suggest a way of finding out if crank seal is leaking ?

Sled is a Enticer 340 1980

spray the seal with carb clean while idling, if the idle changes you know the seal is bad.

That will only test the clutch side, you need to pressurize the engine ands see if you loose pressure to check the mag side

what about if you took off the starter ,cooling fan and then sprayed behind the mag would this work
