Since the T/Cat and ZRT800 are about 80lbs heavier than my ZR800, what could you do to save some weight on these sleds?
?  Am seriously thinking about buying a left over tripple just to have one since they probably won't be around for much longer.  Then I could have the ZR for hard trail riding and the tripple for when I wanted a dose of testosterone riding.
Any comments on experience with saving weight would be appreciated.

Boss seat and Boivin Expert X suspension and aftermarket pipes should save you about 60-70 lbs. and make you lighter than the 800 twin.  The ZR 800 is 510 lbs. compared to 561 for the ZRT in stock form.

FastCat has good suggestions.  There are suspension changes, seat changes, few pounds of wet foam under the hood, racing with minimal fuel ect.

Oh yeah and we all can skip the pizza and beer, thats likely the cheapest way to shed the weight. (;^)

Good Luck..

If you lose rotating mass you will be futher ahead. You can lighten your sled 50lbs by pipes and light wieght add ons but when you reduce your rotating mass by 25lbs it has the same effect as the 50lbs dead wieght. If you want rank wieght loss and power, lose 20lbs rotating mass and 40-60lbs dead wieght (the dead wieght is the easiest to lose).

Sounds good guys...even though I love my ZR800 for the trails, I did love the thrust of my ZRT800 and may buy one of the last ones since they may be gone forever so I can have a sled for both types of riding.

How Much Do You Weigh? Can You Loose Weight?

As for the sled, Pipes loose 15, ChromeMoly Front A Arms 10?,
Silencer 8, Chrome Moly Rear suspension 15, Hood 5, Boss Seat 10, Camoplast every 3rd closed 10,

These are Guestimates but for the cost of all of these parts you gotta have lotsa moneys.

ZRT, I think the most I can lose personally is about 15lbs....did my wife put you up to this

I'm sure with all the money I saved this season by not riding I should have no problem buying those parts.......
