I have an 04 ski-doo rev 800, with it original track. I've seen ported tracks and I'm looking for any tips or info before I do it to mine. what size holes, how many holes, what the proper bit to use, etc...
any help would be great!
Well there are 2 ways of doing that I know of first you can send it off
and the use a punch. Or you xcan do it your self. when I did mine I did
5 1 inch hole across with a wood hole saw. the trick is to really dull the bit
before and the when you do it go slow so it melts the rubber around the hole. How many hole across is your choice senn it done from 1-6 and also you can stagger the holes 5 in one row 3 in the next or what ever.
Plan on making a really big mess ! The dull holesaw works, you can also run it in reverse & get the same effect. For rectangular slots I use a air powered windshield knife. Best to make a template so everything turns out same same.
