Can anyone tell me a little more about the way the dpm works and what temp. range does it work or not work at?I have heard all sorts of different answers about it, like it only starts to compensate at -20celsius(-4F).this doesn't seem right but i can't seem to get a straight answer, even from a dealer.Appreciate any replys.

I figured out that on mine it works from -4F to 32F and from 0 to 12,000 ft before you have to rejet.

The dpm system calculates the enrichment time and rate based on eng. temp.Once this is done the carburature bowls return to atmospheric pressure(dpm is in standby mode)the air fuel mixture is the same as if you didn't have a dpm system.

Over 3000rpm,compensation mode is activated and will compensate only if the air temp. exceeds -20c(-4f) and the air pressure is lower than 1000 mbar.

Float bowls are now under vacuum(lower than atmospheric pressure)and the air/fuel mixture is leaner.

Note it will only enrich or lean for the jet you have in the carburator.

Hope this helps you.
