Hi all, so i recently bought a 2008 summit 800x and it doesn't have electric start. I was playing with the idea of using a battery jumper pack with a 600 peak amp output instead of the traditional lead acid battery. I Did some poking around and figured i could buy a traditional electric start system for around 600, OR i could purchase a battery jumper pack, starter, and starter solenoid for around $300. I would also save some weight, around 11 pounds worth of lead and acid on the battery side of things as well as having a smaller footprint under the hood. I would use the 12V "car charger" that comes with it and hard wire that into the sled on the charge side of things to keep the battery jumper pack charged up or possibly just pull it out and charge it when i need to as they all have quick connectors that come with them.

If anyone has heard of anything similar to this or done this themselves I would love to hear more about it, or if my dreams are too far fetched let me know why.

Thanks, Tyson.
