The switch when turned to ethynol provides 3% more fuel to compensate for (don't quote me) the quicker burning properties of ethynol to keep the fuel mixture from leaning out, as for having the switch turned to ethynol while running regular gas I'm not sure if this will foul plugs or what exactly it will do, I have a post asking that very question.
thanks for the reply easy does it. I'm not sure either what the switch really does, i has a xc800sp with a premium or regular switch on it and that made sence.. it retarded the timing for regular fuel, so you could run it on that fuel but it never made a difference in the performance on either fuel.
