Does anyone know how rare Evinrude opposed twin engines are? I have one that turns over, but I have not checked the compression yet. Are they difficult to get running or is it easier to part it out???

parts are still available for these sleds, the opposed twins were used in the 68-69 OMC snowcruisers, johnson, evinrude and in some skidoos also.I recently sold a 68 snowcruiser 208E opposed twin, they were good motors and could pull a heavy load.If theres spark, spray some gas in the carb and it will probably start for you.Look up snowcruiserman on vintagesnowmobile.com,he has lots restored.

I have several of these... ranging in years from 1965-1970. They are in the sleds and all run. They aren't too hard to get parts for. On the other hand, they aren't easy either. It is some of each. I have several parts sleds, for my runners. I don't run them much. Have considered selling them all off. Let me know if you need anything. Or want a running Evinrude /Johnson sled as I have both. Dan.
