I want to exchange the useless primary clutch on my everest 340 -78. But I´m a little bit confused regarding wich clutch I can use (thinking about what is fitting on the bore, not the setup for the clutch or how wide the belt is).

If i¨m looking for a comet clutch, they recomend me a 102C CLUTCH 208303A - 30MM 1:10 tapered bore.

This 208303A, if I understand it right fits on a 30mm tapered bore. This mean that my everest are supposed to have that.
Now to my reflection: The 108 EXP for Polaris, skidoo and Arctic cat also fits on a 30MM 1:10 taper bore.

QUESTION:
Does this mean that I can take the primary clutch (even an original clutch) from any snowmobile that have this 30mm bore?

Best regards : Daniel

The taper on most clutches is the same, but the offset is different. If you put one on with the wrong offset, it can take out your PTO crankshaft seal in a heartbeat...
