well the f7 has 200 more cc's than the f5 so 1000$ could be dead on,,,, as for what are they normally worth, depends on the year, the shape of the sled, the miles on the sled,,, lots of factors in that answer.

f5's did have the apvs,,, but they were all carbed (in 03) instead of the efi. They also used a exhaust sensor in the pipe,,,

Plus F5 are piston poppers due to poor valve design on the 500s

I dont think any of the sabercat 500's have the power valves,,, thats why they were listed at like 80 hp and the f5's were 118ish,,,, there may have been more reasons than that, but that is the big one I remember.

Not sure about the 2003 and 4, but the 2005 and 2006 S5 EFI were a single throttle body where the F5 was a dual TBI.
I think this is one of the big differences in HP.

the F5 was rated at 105 but most dynoed around 100hp

amnd true the Sabercat 500 had NO power valve and was rated at 80hp like the 07 F5

The 04 S500 was carbed and had the same HP rating as the EFI S500s

great on gas, member in our club has a Sabercat 500 and routinely gets the same MPG as her husbands ST660 4stroke
