SWRules I have found sooooooooo much helpful information, and comments here at SW!

No snow here yet in the upper west quadrant of lower Michigan.

I have a 2002 MXZ 500 Trail with 2.1 miles on it, and am getting a woody thinking about breaking it in! :)

After break-in, I will be putting 120 Woody's Goldigger Studs in, and getting some 6 inch carbides.

Does anyone have any suggestions for clutch tuning/jetting for optimising the performance of my sled?

I weigh 260, I will ride mostly on trails in temperatures between -5 to 40 degrees fahrenheit. My altitude will be between 600-1800 feet, but mostly in the 600-900 foot range.

What I did is that I went to the dealer and asked them to copy the carb/clutch sheet out of the manual. It will aid in you tuning of the carbs. As for the clutching, call Goodwin or EPI and they can help you.
I'll try and attach a copy of mine. It's for my 2000 700.

I would lay off of jetting, doos come jetted allot closer than the other mfgrs.

I would recomend a clutch kit (Goodwin) as they really provide a upgraded product that will make you quite happy.
