It appears by and large the factory was drunk when they threw these together, so you do not drive them till you go thru them with a VERY fine toothed comb. Fix oil line routing, pull rope rubbing update, fuel line kink in tank correction, Idler wheel clearance on cross shafts in suspension, Air bubbles in coolant lines, loose nuts all over sway bars and suspension. There is more. After this is fixed it will be the fastest current 700 out there. P.S. It does weigh over 25 pounds more than mags and brochures stated. :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

Tell him to buy something else...F7 sounds like a horror story.
If he really wants one I'll sell him mine.

If the dealer does a proper P.D.I. he will have picked up on these
problems. It appears from some of these posts that the dealers
are at fault more than the factory,in the scent`s that the all in
mighty $$$$$$$$$$$ dollar has fogged there vision and not
checked the work of A.C. I will repeat myself again if the dealer
was selling them a couple of 100 cheaper ,now you know way.
Our dealer is not the cheapest but none of the `7s he sold have
have burnt down or other related problems. All of which have been on the
snow. This applies to all brands. .02 worth.....

I disagree, dealers are not paid very much for assembly/prep maybe an hours shop labor? How can they check and fix all of this stuff in that time? I thought the factory was responsible for assembly which includes tightening the bolts they install, hoses they run etc.....I think dealers would have gone through them better, but the ones that were delivered before problems became apparent are not the dealers fault, they are the FACTORYS fault. Remember the real big problems are showing up as people can finally put some real miles on them.

If the guy has been a Cat dealer for any amount of time he should
be aware of some of the things the factory has sent out in the past.
Small things that are not picked up on in P.D.I led to big problems
latter (bolts, air bubbles, lines that are to close etc) maybe I have
come too except too much as the dealer is very good.Cat really
should have Q.C. for sure,it really is far behind the other`s as far
that go`s.I can see where your coming from, for people have paid
alot of hard earned money and expected more. How they will stand up
and correct this for once and all.

The sleds come from the factory 1/2 put together and they had to put the other 1/2 on there. so it your dealer could be the messing up the machine. I would have bought and F7 if i didnt order an F5 sno pro for 2004.
