i HAVE A ZRT800 AND AM SETTING IT UP FOR THE ICE THIS WEEK. I AM RUNNING ABOUT 500 TO 600 FT.  I RAN 23 /40 IN MY LAST SLED BUT RAN OUT ALITTLE BIT ON THE TOP END. I WAS THINKING OF JUST CHANGING THE TOP TO A 23. I'VE HEARD I WILL SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE AND STILL HAVE IT ON THE TOP END.  BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I SHOULD CHANGE THE BOTTOM INSTEAD.  PLEASE HELP.  HAVE 24/40 IN SLED WRITE NOW AND I'M GOING TO CLUTCH IT TO THE NEW GEAR SET-UP.

The performance manual says 20/39 for 500-660 feet.  I don't know how you could run out of gear in that short of a distance even with 20/39's.  I takes a 70 pitch chain.
