can i just run new wires to somewhere else? like headlights for exhample now nothing of electronics

i have taken the cover off and none of the wires look crossed or touching, but i did find that some conections were loose, but that could have been when i took it off, i didnt get to ride much since, way to cold -15, but that didnt seam to work, i forgot to mention that they do work some,but not half of what they should,plus brake coolant light stays on. im thinkin switches or the computer, it has dpm thanks
