I bought the kids a pair of snow scoots, one is in great shape and runs great. The other needed a lot of help. I did a frame up restoration. It now looks great but I can't get it to accelerate like the other one. It idles good and starts out just ok. but it just wont get up and go. When it is going it kind of sputters along and then eventually it will quit ( 5-10 minutes). After it sets it will start easy and go back to it's sputtering ways. I replaced the clutchs during the initial work, checked and cleaned the carb multiple times  ( and swapped with the other sled ), checked compression, checked and sealed the gaskets around the reeds ( they look good also ), replaced the fuel filter, adjusted the choke,  the track spins good, the brake is not binding. I need some new ideas. Any ideas would help. Thanks

Check the exhaust system sounds like it could be pluged.

Mice! ??? In exhaust, Snorat is probably right. A rat probably could not get in teenie pipe.

Sounds like an air/fuel problem to me.  Can it reach full operating RPM? If it does, can it pull RPM cool and warmed up all the way.

Hey-I used to work at a place that rented scoots and they did that exact thing to us pretty often.  Take a look at the choke.  They like to stick and do funny things sometimes.  Also, if there is a bunch of miles on them, the pipes will need to be cleaned out.  The way we did it was heat sections of the pipe up with a torch (get it real hot), then bang on it with a hammer.  Don't dent the pipe, but hit it hard enough to loosen up the carbon in there.  You wouldn't believe how much carbon is built up in those pipes after a couple years of use.  Get all the carbon out and you will notice a big difference in power.  Hope this helps!
