Never been to Houghton Lake Racing yet. I was wondering if the ice is safe, and will there be any competition out there this weekend?  If so where is a good place to park close to the drag strip?  Friends and I are thinkin of taking up our 1000's and 800 triple trail sleds just to check it out and play a little.

I was up there saturday(26th) Lake was very fast. I rode about 120 miles on the lake. There was some good crust in spots for hook up and some bare ice for long top speed runs. Really flat and fast.  I never had any hifax or heating problems on my 800 twin. There alot of people racing in a couple different spots on the lake also.
I would tell ya where but i'm not much for directions.

I rode HL yesteday (Sun) and it was in BAD shape! Very wet and slushy, allot of standing water and rough from all the traffic.

Local marina is having drags this weekend on Secord Lake. Secord is a longlake with over 80miles of riding if you run all the cuts. Come check it out!

Temps are going drop before this weekend, the lake will better then ever for drag racing and top speed running assuming the lake doesn't get to much snow.
