I'm having a little trouble getting my wife excited about riding this year. :inlove: I've been wanting to see how you guys get the little woman in the mood to ride. So far my brilliant idea of witholding sex hasen't seemed to work yet. ??? :withstupid: What do you all do?

I posted on this subject a while back.. The number one thing to doo is get them their own sled. It is hard to get excited about being a passenger.

Make sure she has the warmest / best looking gear to wear and take her out to ride with another couple she likes. And try to ride where there are lots of clean bathrooms for her to use. Don't try to clock a ton of miles either. Good luck! First impressions are everything. It worked for me. The wifes been riding for 12 years and we have 4 sleds in a covered trailer in the yard ( the kids ride too! Their 7 & 9 ) It's a family thing now.

Man, if she does not want to ride then consider yourself lucky and go have some real fun [sledding]. As you get older you will find the girls are the first to go then it's just you and the guys, besides, you just got to get away from each other and un-wind before you kill each other!

Thanks, she rode last year with me on one trip (she had a little incident on the AC ZL she was riding that's how I ended up with the Viper I have) I had her a GT 500 that she really liked, but thought that she might do well on a REV 600. Plus, that way I could add the seat for our daughter if she wants to go. Most of the time I ride with my buddies (have ridden since '88 I'm a old coot! :p ), but want to have the family to go also. I also have a 17 year old son that is into Bond so he likes the REV 007.

dwhee,
maybe she just doesn't want to ride, my wife hates it when we come home after a ride she says it brings in the cold. 99% of women don't ride but the ones that do are about the greatest to ride with. i ride with a friends wife all the time because he is always away working.

When I bought my sled in October, Mrs. Troll said "I don't want to sled ,, I get too cold,,, I really don't like winter. When I picked it up,, she said "Does it have enough room for me too?" I told Mrs. Troll, sorry, you said you didn't like winter, so I bought a single seat machine. ;)

I went for a nice ride on saturday, and told her all the details.

I get home today, Mrs. Troll is at work, and left a note:

" Honey,

Hope you had fun today snowmobiling. Tell me all about it when I get home.

(1988??) Polaris 500cc for $500. GOOD DEAL??"

I tell yah, :D If you think you have them figured out, you're wrong every time! :D

Ah ha! I am a wife and you all have wonderful suggestions but in my situation it was ME 5 years ago that went and bought the first sled! Immediatley the hubby got jealous so he went and bought one too. We enjoy the sport together and with many friends. I'd also like to add that I have no problem keeping up with the "big boys!" LOL! :D By the way, I am new to this board. I have been posting on the sledmaine website now for 3 years and someone there directed me here. I look forward to chatting with you all!

How do you get the wife to ride?
Well this is not a porn site but I guess you could start with a bottle of 100 proof rum. That's always a good panty remover.

Take the wife riding ? Not mine ! I get nagged enough at home I don't need it on the trail. " Slow down. You're going too fast !" , " Don't jump the machine that high you'll break it!" I don't think so ! If yours isn't like this count your blessings. It's bad enough when she's in the car with me. I ride to escape.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't say that I wanted her to go all the time, just enough to not complain (Bit**) when I want to go. :withstupid:
However, I do feel your pain :D

Buy her a dependable sled with electric start & reverse. Also get her warm boots, coat, bibs, and gloves.
I had to buy a sled for her so I could ride mine!! She likes to ride.

My Wife wanted to get back into Snowmobiling after being out of it for five years. She bought her own macnine and this year purchased a 2003 800ho Highmark, one for her and talked me into purchasing one to. She loves to ride and i enjoy her company. Just treat them like a Lady and look after them. They won't tell you but I know mine likes it...
