There were never any HP ratings for this Fuji mill, but it's somewhere along the lines of 70-75hp. I remember them being about 5hp less than the Indy500(488cc). The 440 had the exact same electrics and carbs as the 500, but was about 50-60cc less.

There was never an XC440. Only a 440XCF and 440XCR

They only made the XC 440 in 97

It was basically a 95-96 XCR 440

It put out 78hp at 7800rpm

The 92-97 Indy 440 had a a lower output version at around 67hp tops out at 80-85mph

and NO it did not have the same carbs as an Indy 500

The Indy 500 had 38s and all Indy 440 had 34s

The only 440 to have 38s was the 91 XC 400 and 92-94 XCR440

In 95 new rules for racing dictated 34mm carbs for 440 class racing so since then the 440 SnoX had 34mm carbs

As for the XCF

the 97-98 XCF had a piston port 440 fan which was basically the same as the 92 SuperSport,94-96 Supersport but with lower racing seat

the 99-01 XCF had a cylinder reed 440
