My Dad & I both have Ski-Doo 600 sdi's.
Mine is an '04 Legend and his is an '08 GSX.
We've been running full synthetic for years (he just traded his '05 MXZ 500SS) but the dealer told him that's a big no-no on the SDI's as it will cause fouling.
They told him to stick with the semi.
What are your thoughts?

Yes I agree. My buddy has an SDI 600 in his GSX and the full Synthetic was fouling his plugs. He has no troubles with the semi synthetic XPS doo oil.

Manual for my 08 says full or semi work, but semi is preferred. Dealer said just to run semi but didn't really get into comparing them. I figured I would just run the doo semi until the warranty runs out anyway... :)

just about 9000km on my 600SDI with Amsoil Interceptor and I think I fouled 2 plugs ever. I think the fouling has more to do with the heat range on the plugs ( they now put in
8's as opposed to 9's) and also the oil pumps sticking open on alot of the sleds at idle. Do a search on oil pump return spring and you will see all the info. Since I have done that I have not fouled a plug.
