toydoc, lucl is a buddy of mine and yes it is 44mm roundslides Mikunis that he wants to install. His 38mm carbs are already bored to 39.9mm. Are those dyno runs that you have done? The question I have is how do all the dyno runs on Land & Sea dynos get such high numbers? Do they all jet lean, feed cool fresh air to carbs, run an external cooling system to regulate coolant temps, and then warm pipes up? I know lucl also has a stock 2000 T-Cat and in a heated garage with the stock jetting, he can only get one cold run and get 171h.p., then all other runs (hot engine, pipes and stock jetting) drop down to 151h.p.. On my '97 Mach 1 (trail ported, head shaved, V-Force II's, stock pipes and B&B muffler, with trail safe jetting to -25c) with outside temp at 0C, I could only get 135 h.p. and 85ft.-lbs. torque with the pipes hot and motor hot. This seems low to me but I am pulling more weight and steeper helix than stock Mach Z's. Also, lucl's modded '93 T-Cat pulls that 193h.p. in the heated garage run after run with a hot motor and pipes. Any explanations would help.
