Well, total time was about 7 hr of work.

Cost of steel 1"x 2" = $62.64 (actually have 12' extra, had to buy 48' min)
Cost of Jack = $39.99
Paint - 2 cans =$10.00

Total =$112.63 - Canadian (plus applicable taxes)

Here it is.

Looks good Fishie. Good price as I paid $300.00 for my mar-lift at the show last year. :)

Thanks Kimberly,

See, I'm not just a pretty face. (ok, I'm not even a pretty face) :(

I was going to order one from Royal but they were $359 plus tax. Seemed a little steep.

Besides, I got to use my welding skills, which were getting rusty.

Could you give some more info on it? That looks sweet. I would love to fab up a few of those. Do you have dimensions? Rollers? What is it held together with at the pivot points? Good job, looks great!

Did you MIG or TIG weld that Fishie? BTW it is Kimberley and I usually only ever heard that when I was bad :)
Sorry, Kimberley.

You impress me more every day, you know that.

Mig welded.

I went off the plans that were posted here a couple weeks ago.

here is the link. The only thing I changed was I used all 1"x2" steel, as I couldn't fing 1"x1 1/2"

The plans were good, it really wasn't hard to do.

Fish, How much welding is involved? My friend knows how to weld somewhat. I would love to do this project! Any way I could accomplish this with minimal welding knowledge???

Not really that much.

If you had the pieces all cut, your probably talking less than a hour of your buddies time to weld it together.

Give it a try.

Now me and my brown nose have to go. :p
