hey guys - anyone know where to stay in North bay, right on the trails - they are forecast for 30 - 40 cm over the next few days while I am supposed to get rain!  it is only 4 hours away and I am giving it some VERY serious thought!

Thundercatzr here is a number for the near north region.They can give you tour info as well as hotel info.At least this is what the snow country ontario magazine i have said.It is 1-800-387-0516.Hope this helps.

It is some great riding up there as well.

Comfort in on lakeshore is right across from the lake
and is convienent.
i can give u lots of options just let me know.. i live only an hour north of north bay..steve

thanks steve - where do you suggest I go?  I am not familiar with the area - where is some good riding around there?  the forecast is for a WHACK of snow around there over the next few days.  we are getting rain.

any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

if you dont mind the drive then i would suggest a bit further north to new liskeard..the trails are amazing with less traffic and good access from most motels..north bay is good but a lot of traffic so the trails get beat up pretty bad..i ride mostly new liskeard..gowganda..kirkland lake...give me an idea of what you guys are lookin for and ill give u as much info as i can..steve

thundercatzr    you might try the Best Western on Lakeshore. It is easy to get to (most hotels are in North Bay) and is right accross the road from the lake and trail . Room rates are $85 a night and have a sucure enclosure for sleds and hot tub and pool. We were there last week and it was great .Lots of parking for trailers if you are leaving for a few days . Did the RAN tour around the lake.Once you get away from the city there is very little traffic during the week. Let me know if you need any more details
