I have been having problems with the sled running great for a while then running like it was on 1 cylinder. Took it in to get checked out, the sled guru says that the top of one piston was burnt off; $1400.00 to fix ?#!#!##!!! Took it home, tore the heads off, no burnt piston?????? Anyone Help me??

You're down that far, take a look at the face of the piston as seen through the exhaust port. No scored cylinders?

I had problems with my 95 XCR 600 last year, it just didnt have the power it used to.
I tore off the head to check the pistons but they looked ok from the top.
Turns out that the PTO side crank seal was leaking, so i replaced both sides and she runs like a top!!
