On my 2000 powder spl. there are 2 positions to mount the rear arm. It came set-up from the dealer in the rear most position. The arctic cat brochure mentions there are two positions but does not explain any benefits of being in the rearward or foward position. We moved everything foward (7.5inches) on the slide rails and reinstalled the skid frame back in the machine. Other than the machine sitting a little higher we've noticed no change in handling/performance. We ride mostly off trail and in powder. Does anyone know what the benefits are to either of the 2 positions ?

The two positions change the angle of the sled vs the snow.  Idealy, one is for trail riding and one is for mountain climbing.

The position that make the sled sit higher is meant for hill climbing.
