Rough Running Sled

My wife's 2000 SC 500 doesn't run smooth at low to mid idle. Once I reach higher RPM, say 7 grand, it clearly runs smooth and takes off. At low rpm it doesn't neccesarily run terrible, I can just sense that it is not as smooth as it should be. Is there a low end jet or something that may be plugged? Are these easy to clean? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I tell her she just doesn't ride it hard enough!
