How were the trail conditions???We left from Sprucedale rode down to Haliburton & stayed in Whitney. We left on a Thursday so we want to go through Haliburton 1st. Haliburton gets alot of traffic on the weekends & there trails can get beat up bad. :dazed: If you are going through this area you might want to leave it to later in the week. The groomers might no touch the trails untill mid week.
We left Whitney headed to Petawawa for lunch then headed for North Bay. We stayed in North Bay then headed back to Srucedale.
We don't book any hotels because during the week you don't have the traffic like you do on weekends.
Check the trail maps & check the trail on the OFSC site to make sure that trails are not closed. Good luck & have a safe trip[/b]
The trails were perfect. With the cold temps it kept the trails tight & smooth. I think the warmest it got was -25c. Every morning was -45c. We ran into 1 trail that was rough & that was about 2 kms long. We came across a guy grooming, don't know why because the trails were perfect. I guess he wanted to go for a driveHow were the trail conditions???[/b]
