hi just a quick question i have a indy 500 carb 1995 it idles fine around 1400 when you let off the trottle rpm hangs for a bit then drops down is this normal to hang up like that other than that the sled runs flawless thanks for any replies.
It's probably running just a bit lean on the pilot jet/air screw circuit. Next time it does it, flip the choke; if the high idle goes away, turn in the air screws a bit (maybe 1/8 of a turn). Like Tifa said, it's not a big deal, more of an annoyance.

If you mean it hangs up at like 2200 for a few seconds and then drops to 1400 yes that is exactly normal.
