I have a Whip 440, I believe it's a '77. It has a Walbro carb & I'm not too familiar with them. The guy I bought it from said it always started with just a few pulls & would idle great, but it would bog under a load.
The only thing I've done is a new choke cable, as the old one was busted.
Anyway, I went to start it for the first time today & it would start, run for a few seconds, and die. I could keep it running by pumping the primer.
Is there a trick to starting these? Lots of primer? Full choke? Both? Neither? Also, what should the adjustments be for the Walbro? Any other thoughts/advice?
Thanks in advance!
