Hi im looking to replace the original shocks on my 97 mxz 670 because of back problems and need a smoother ride.Need to know brand , valving ,or anything that would help to decide what to buy.

You can put the HPG shocks from a 99 670HO in there, they are rebuildable. ALso, you might look at an M10 suspension. RydeFX makes a good shock, and user mxz900 actually sells them so you could talk to him about getting some shocks.

just bought some 9200 series(rebuildable) ryde fx for a 97 mxz 583 for the rear skid.Real nice shocks.Can't wait to see how it rides.

I suggest trying to find a used M-10 121, I know of a couple of guys looking to sell theirs. They upgraded to M-10 144 and 136. They said the the longer suspension rides alot better in the bumps.
