Regular mineral oil is fine...but synthetic (I like the blend) will burn a little cleaner and create less buildup on the exhaust valves.

Doo Mineral oil here. My dealer sells it bulk for $28 a gallon. Just bring in your empty jugs, and they fill em :D I was running that cheap Esso dark green oil fro a while.(never went to town to see my dealer, got it at the gas stn) But I found it really changed the readings on the plugs. Darkened them up ALOT. so, what you thought was rich, might acctually be lean.

bombardier xps synthetic in my 98 fromula z 670 it is yellow jug just picked up a gallon today 48$ us plus tax its in a yellow jug ====way less smoke then the others i have used ---i also used the drark green years ago cheaper to buy better oil than plugs all the time

I've been running Shell Advance, seeing as you're here in Ontario keep an eye out as Canadian Tire has it on sale quite often, last week it was $15 a jug.
