Hi, i just aquired a 96 formula 500 sls from a guy at my work for doin his timing belt. He said it just had new pistons and rings and was bored out .030, he doesnt know to much about the sled cuz it was his uncles and he died and his autn just gave it to him. So he has never driven it. I got it home and started it up. It smoked pretty decently, it had great power, pulls the skis off the ground. Then it started loosing power and boggin and just died. So i said screw it and left it for sunday. Went out got it started but it would only idle. I noticed it had DENSO plugs in it. So i did some research and found the right plugs, NGK br9es. popped them in and i started so much easier and the plugs werent soaked with oil and gas. It runs good but still smokes. Any suggestions?

Thanks for reading my stupid long story guys

It is probably just storage oil. It will stop after a couple of good rips up and down the road. Most two stroke sleds smoke until they have warmed up too.
