Just got back from the top fuel finals in Pomona California 11-10-02,
In amazement in super comp class, rolls up a 2000 Yamaha SRX! Couldn't believe it!!!
The SRX ran a 10.78 time at 114.00 MPH! These are 1/4 mile races on asphalt.

Next up was a red polaris against another bike,
GET THIS, IT RAN A 9.28 AT 142 MPH!!!!!!!!!!!!

These races were right before the funny car and top fuel final rounds, ESPN2 is going to re-televis the event but Im not sure if they will show the sleds or when they re-broadcast, check link at bottom.

Went to the pits after the finals, got pictures, will post tomorrow.
The Polaris was a 1300 cc. triple, with custom triple pipes and some kind of ekhart flatside carbs. the guy was from Idaho. It did smoke some kind of dragbike that he was running against!!

The SRX was from Minnesota, didn't get his name but he was claiming the SRX was completely bone stock, didn't change the gearing, clutching, nothing but the ski's and the track.

both tracks were flat like slicks, The polaris was really tricked out. You should have seen the race fans!!! People in Southern California have never seen a sled (let alone on asphalt), when the Yammi ran first, about 60,000 people got off there seats and cheered like Mad..

According to the Yamaha rider, NHRA put them into the motorcycle super comp class, due to them not having any other class for them to race.

will post picks tomorrow!!!!!!!!NHRA tv times

Yea thats neet to see when they race against bikes . I'll never forget the first time I seen that , would have swore the race bike would blow him away but it was the exact opposite the sled did something like 138 mph and left the bike in the dust .
