just wondering what you SS owners think of the suspension. have a chance to buy a Z570 with or without the SS suspension. The SS suspension machine will cost me an extra $500. Is it worth it? Thanks for the replies.

I've only got 200 miles on my ZL SS, and I have no other sled to compare it to, but I do get a kick out of watching the back of my friend's Yamaha bounce all over the place while I follow him.

I think it is worth it. I put 700 miles on my 600 so far and where I really notice it is at 20 to 30 mph on bumps. Ultra smooth... I got off my sled and hopped on wifes 2001 ZL 600 and noticed quite a difference. So did my wife as she did not want to switch back

I've got two Z570SS' and its worth it.  My wife's SS quit working and it automatically went to "soft" mode, which gives her a smooth ride, but it bottoms out in the rough stuff.  By this it's very easy for me to jump from mine to hers to see the difference.  I'm going to look at her sled this week to see if a wire came off or something. Beyond that my dealer said bring it in. It's the only failure he's seen so far.

For $500 get one.  There're gone on the 570 for 2003.
