i have what apears to be a stock 1996 mach z . I have had it dealer preped for the first 4 years and because of my dealer being to far away i do my own work now. one thing i could never understand was that the tach read 8200 on clicker # 1. I have checked every pin, ramp, spring, cam and it is bone stone stock! the bushings are in great shape and both drives are super clean.with everything in good shape it shuld be on # 3 ....right? maby someone could tell me what they run in there 96 mach z thanks, kevin

Your tach is probably quite generous in the high RPM scale. Your Max HP rpm is 8200 anyhow so why worry.

Your tach should be reading 8500 for a real reading of 8300 [200 off] so click it up 1 and see what happens. I would'nt worry wherever the clickers are as long as you tach says 8500 and no more.
