I was Going to stud my track sometime in these next couple of weeks and ive never studded a track before what i was wondering is it all right to use a 1" stud on a 0.820 profile track?

that should work fine,,, take a look at the woody's or traction boy website,,, they should have charts with your sled and track and let you know what you should run on it.

A 1 inch stud on a .820 track would give you .410 penetration. Most companies(Woodys and Studboy) recommend .25-.375.

A .875 stud would give you .285 penetration.

A .920 stud would give you .330 penetration.

Woodys sells both of these lengths.

ATS and Studboy both sell the .875 length.

Dont forget tunnel protectors.

I'm wrestling with studding my sled :crazy: I was against studding the Fusion because the ripsaw track is great, but the power is just too much when it get a little icy out. I still have not made my mind up :bash:

yah i think i will go with the .920 i was on woodys site and i have a brochure from them buy the looks of it 1.00 would be to much probably just end up damaging something .. but thanks for the information
