I recently started to modify my SX700R ,eventhough I said wouldnt! Im only doing the little things,leaner jets,carbon reeds,and thinner head gaskets.My question is how many gasket plates should have I taken off?I only took one off.

Never heard of that myself, I thought about buying an aftermarket head.

Much cheaper and gives you the look of a stock sled. :sly:

the one center ply is all I've heard of, don't know if there would be room for taking out another?
Have you clutched that thing yet? There's some more usable power in there.
pipes are the way to really wake theses things up :devil:

HI! with the singel pipe you can run only one
layer of the gasket.....
But with triple pipes on you must have two
layer`s on!!!

Go to totallyamaha.com and do the silencer mod
they have posted there allso....!!!




mm700 piped etc, etc,

Thanks guys! I did take out just the center one. What kind of clutching should I do? Triple pipes would be nice but I hate the run ins with the DNR. :angry:

You can run with two layers removed and still be ok. Just make sure that you run good premium gas. I am running it that way with SLP quiet pipes.
