Well, I had my tach calibrated today and it read 40 rpm low. So when the tach was at 7500 rpm the actual eng. rpm's were 7460. I have a "01" ZR800. FYI.

To Boatmaan: No I am not. Toydoc, I don't know if the Arctic tach can be adjusted?? Probely could be done by useing resistors? Anyone know if that can be done?? My buddy is one of those elect. eng. types and has been checking my tachs for years. All of the Arctic tachs that we have checked over the years were all within 50 rpm. Some over some under. He dose a lot of work for Autometer. He's also a Polaris type and you are right about the older Polaris tachs. I did some ashpalt drag racing but did not do any drag racing on the ice. I did do a lot of NSSR 1000" streightline ice racing though. Mopar4u: He hooks the tach up to this didgital readout mach. and compares the readings. Thats why we can get to within a few rpm. When I do my clutching I just keep the tach error in mind.
