i put my first 43 miles of the season on last friday.
Don't feel so bad about putting 750 miles on. I just barley put over 500 miles on my sled this year. Heck, this is the second season I owned my sled and I still Have NOT hit the 1000 mile mark. I just look at it this way. At least the machines stay new on the account that they are not getting the were and tear put on them. That means LESS MAINTENANCE.We live north of Harrisburg PA.. We don't get much snow here.. The season is short enough as it is and now it's pretty much over.. We were going to try and get one last trip in next week but the weatherman says it's going to rain and be warm at Old Forge...So I spent all this money on two beautiful sleds and I'll only get to use them a couple of times each season. It's not so bad that I'd sell them or anything,I'm hooked and so is my wife. I should have stayed where I grew up.. Vermont, or where I lived for a decade after that, Colorado... Oh well..We still got to ride about 750mi. each this season.[/b]
WELL, If you got two weeks in winter. Come on over to MICHIGAN. I'm sure that some people here, including ME will take you out riding.I know.. I just bought new skiis for my sled and doolys for both sleds... at the END OF THE SEASON!.. New plugs, new hyfax.. going to rebuild my recoil.. etc. etc... Wife wants a new tow vehicle.. I want a new trailer.. It IS insanity but we had SO MUCH FUN this winter with the sleds... She just informed me that we could use BOTH my weeks of vaca time next winter for sledding.. She used to like to go on cruises...hehehhehehe... boy did I luck out.. I HATED those cruises!..[/b]
At least you live in PA where you have a decent chance of riding. I live in Florida and purchased a 2007 Arctic Cat Z570 LX and only put 200 miles on it this year. I tried to go again this week back to Michigan but could not make it.I'm starting to feel better now. I at least got 1500 miles in this season before mine blew up. The last 100 was the best conditions I have ever ridden. I wish I could have ridden the other 200 that everyone else in the group got to ride, but oh well. Still worth it. I love this silly expensive sport!![/b]
hey cooley ya should take er up CB up the highlands. i took a trip up the other day up the mountain through the woods(wont ever do it again) nice ride once i got to a road and new i wasnt gonna get stuck in the woods and die.i put my first 43 miles of the season on last friday.[/b]

Snowmobiling is a sad and joyful addiction. At least you have the Wifey into it too.I know.. That has to be sweet having a sled in the garage in FLA.At least you live in PA where you have a decent chance of riding. I live in Florida and purchased a 2007 Arctic Cat Z570 LX and only put 200 miles on it this year. I tried to go again this week back to Michigan but could not make it.
"It is better to own and have it sit in the garage than not to own at all!"
