im buying 96 one inch studs for the center of my track. what size protectors do i buy? the one inch or the 3/4 inch? thanks

also what backers should i be looking at? square aluminum, square nylon, round aluminum, or round polymer?

use the 1 inch protectors. you only need the rear portion of the protector itself replaced. which is about 12-14 inches. one stick will do the machine.

anyone know about the backers?

Ive had all backers . The nylon Ive never lost any with 144 studs and I feel if the stress is to much the backer snaps off and the stud with the nut pulls through the track. The aluminum Ive had square can break a corner and cut through the track. Ive changed and have seen that happen to many times . That being said on my apex I have 144 down the center with woodys aluminum backers and not one is missing and I like to pull wheelies .
