went into VP's web page. they said that if the fuel is kept in a metal can or some container that is air tight and sunlight does not penetrate and also kept in a cool place, they say indefinite. but went into a sunco fuel site and it said a year. my brother has a 5 gallon can of klotz racing fuel that is kept air tight and not exposed to heat, and has had it and used it for going on 2 year with no problem. and i have also run a little of it in my improved stock sled with no problems. all i can say

I concur with bobo. Most race fuels stored in sealed metal containers, in cool / shaded, safely stored areas do not have a shelf life. Just stay away from that cheep C12 stuff that they sell in plastic buckets. If stored long enough, the plastic will start to erode and the "organic hydrocarbons" will start to break down when exposed to sunlight. If that's your last resort, ask the vendor how long they've had it in their inventory! 4 to 6+ month? Forget it!
