Just got a great deal on a 02 ZR 600 carb...couldn't pass it, since this sled has been made for a few years, I'm thinking it should be pretty good out of the box, can't get till next weekend.

I've heard the stock pipe is pretty decent from AC, should I concentrate more on clutch kit first, seems the consenus from this message board is D&D has the best clutch kit for this sled, but most posts have been on 600efi.

Is the D&D power breather worth the $100 and the Delta V-force reeds give you the response improvements they pitch?

I really want punch off the line up to mid range for aggreesive trail riding.

Have been riding 580 efi that is pretty snappy, will the 600 twin impress me over the 580?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions to wake the 600 up and make me take notice, within reasonable $$$ amounts.

I felt the 800 twin would be overkill for our riding styles.

you will love the new 600 over the 580.first i would drop two sizes on mains and lower needle by raising clip one position then buy a d+d clutch kit.reeds will help quite a bit but clutching is what puts the power to the track so that is the best place to start along with jetting down. i hav a 02 zr 500 and the power valve motors make a lot more bottom and mid than others.
