Im just getting started in drag water crossing.I have a 2000 mxz 700 and need help on how I should set the sled up. The sled is 100% stock, have a silencer and reverse on it.has a 3/4 inch track.Any advise would be greatly  appreciated.

Chaser, from my experience, you don't need to do anything except maybe block air vents. Just squeeze throttle and go. I'm not sure but I think lowering gears is a good idea too since water has more resistance than snow.

I also have a question about wattercross, what's the effect of higher lugs? would a summit perform better than a short track?

In the Ski-doo forum, on the second page right now, there's a great, lengthy topic called "set ups for water crossing."  It's got a lot of great advice, much of it from the expereinced Idooski.
