my gsx 800 ho gets about 14-15 mpg
My 04 800ho gets 10 mpg, my wifes 600ho is around 12mpg
my 1992 formula mach 1 gets around 10mpg
2006 MXZ 500SS regularily gets in the high teens, unbelieveable :D
Both myself and my wife have Renegades with the 600 HO SDI engines. I have an 04 and she has an 07 and we usually get 19 to 20 mph. Were always within a dollar of each other whatever speed
were driving. I did find the best range was the 50 to 60 mph.
7.9-8.7 miles/canadian gallon for a 02 mxz 800

My 07 GSX 600HO SDI gets 18-19, wife's 04 Legend V-1000 gets a tad over 20 mpg.
I've got a 96 Mach-z 780 and I was getting 6.5mpg's , after playing around with it '' carbs, track & chain case and clutching '' 10mpg . My 85 yamaha phazer is getting 14mpg's and with the Dial-a-jet 16mpg's .
my '98 Formula Z 670 gets about 12-13 mpg, good enough for me!!
My 2005 Renegade 600 HO SDI gets around 17mpg. I know they state an higher rating from the manuf. but realistically 17 is pretty good over a normal day's range of conditions.
Hello, i'm just up the road in Shelburne,Ont and have the same sled(1 year newer, 02) and getting the same range/mpg but have noticed my exhast is smelling very rich????? I'm new to this sleding thing and was told i should be getting 160-190 k/m to a tank. maybe a tune-up or something.

I found on my sled that the carburetor flaps were out of time. They were not synchronized. The synchronizer shaft screw to hold one of the throttle flaps was loose. I tightened it and it ran so smooth. I never got around to checking out the mileage after that but will next winter. My plugs were also wet at the time.
I own a 99' Grand Touring SE 800 Triple and average about 150-170k per 40 litre tank, have got as much as 190k but not often, with out doing the math I would say I average 9-11mpg upto 12-13 at times just cruising.I think thats all you'll get out of a 650lbs sled.

I think I need a lighter sled! perhaps a 435 lbs one with an 800 in it!
02 modded 800 gets 10mpg on the throttle
