Decker F-111 Race pipes kicked out the most for my improved stock 600 F-111, as Fast and Crankshop put out less power. I have beaten some Prostockers with my improver.
I have a World Series of Drags (souvenier) to prove they are worth it.

Machz69,

I will give you some good feed back, jaws pipes and Crank Shop pipes both work good,I like the crank shop because they rev lower you can raise the exhaust port and not loose any top end where with jaws you do,hp is about the same but i think jaws are a little better,I now you can get close to 180hp with the jaws pipes if you jet,put reeds, advance timing,do some air box work, and cut the head.We ran on the Ice this winter and in 660 we were 6.4sto 6.8sfor times. You also need to bump your box with jaws pipes so you don't run in your rer limiter. We also run with a guy who has a polar motor which runs jaws pipes too.

machz69, as you know, I have Jaws trail pipes. Unfortunately, my first set weren't a matched set, which caused me to jet unevenly and I wasn't able to do long wide open runs (thanks to my digitron egt reader). However, I was impressed with the power, snappyness (good throttle response), and the fact that they weren't jet sensitive (meaning I've jetted from 420 to 540 m.j. in -10 C with no burndowns , but only a performance change). I would recommend the Jaws trail pipes, but also to either get Greg at Jaws to do the motor work, or you to set your engine up to his specs, in order to be safe with his pipes (such as squish, compression, porting, base gaskets, reeds, airbox and carb venting). My buddy kennypope, has high mileage on his '99 FIII 800 (over 8000kms I think), which was ported by Jaws, has steel cage crank bearings, v-force reeds, gutted airbox with airbox carb venting, and the Jaws trail pipes, and is still running strong to this day. The only other pipes I would get for my Mach 1, would be the crankshops (which are now being made by Jaws).
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it !

machz69  The jaws are your best bet, For your port work check out Bondi Engine's in Aurora Ontario, He has a Machz package consisting of Jaws pipes, mild cly porting, reeds carb and head mods they dyno out at 188hp

see this is where im at; im thinking i still want it to run trails. #### i even ran my prostock cat engine in the trail...he he. i just put 44mm and heads that where only shave down 30thous. but still had 135hp. so as u can see im just a little bent,....loli would like my chicken to be in 180+hp for trails. so i know that i will be boring the carbs to 40.2mm most likely jaws pipes and porting nut keep the feedback comming thankz.....
ps:i will call greg to see. but i like the idea of not loosing top end but gaining bottom.hmmm

Machz69,

My best friend has a Houle and he has the jaws pipes and another friend has a fIII 800 with the same setup. Both run the trails and jaws claims 170hp with that setup or close to that. When they go racing they bump up the timing and jet, jaws claims around 180hp,I'm sure when you talk to them they will tell you all this.

They both got delta reeds, air box work, different needle tubes and jets, cut head, cdi box work too.

Ace racing what timing system do you use? Those 6.4's would be good for 600 improvers but not 800's they shoul be 6.1 to 6.2. As stock 800's triples run below 6.5 on brower systems, on decent conditions.

Sharkey,

Go and look at the Cosdra web site,if you're running a low 6 you're doing well,we have a Steve Payne(Polar Perf.)900 improver which runs low 6's,up here in Ontario that what the guys run for times.

Are times weren't in the best conditions, but when we test we use a radar gun with a lap top program which gives you just about every thing you need and a reflector timing system.

Krusty, were you at COSDRA's Sturgeon Falls grass drags in August of 2000. If you were, I may have run against you on the Saturday. I won the amateur improved 700 class, that day. I tried my luck in the Pro improved 700 class, but got eliminated in the second round. I might go back this summer.
Sorry for getting off topic !

I only raced on the Saturday in Aug. 2000, and was entered in the Pro improved 700 ( which I managed a best e.t. of 5.95, the round that I was eliminated) and the amateur improved 700, which I won in 6.19. Not as quick as I had hoped, but good enough to win 1 class.
