Its easiest to pull the entire dash piece out. You simply pull the 2 screws (allen head) that are to the left/forward and right/forward of your handlebars,,, then you raise your hood and dash will pivot forward,,, once pivoted,,, simply unplug your wiring harness and take it to the ol kitchen table,,,, if you have an oem windshield, have fun with it. It is VERY VERY tight and the minute it gets really cold outside and you hit rough trails, it will break. Mine broke on the f6 and I did nothing at all. Had a couple of members here with me when it happened. I had stopped and got gas, then rode 4 mile back to camp leading the members I had with me. Got to camp and it was split down both sides. I will be taking it back to the dealer soon to see about a replacement,,,, I figure they will tell me I rolled it when that is the farthest from the truth.
