For those of you that have put wiseco pistons in a 580zr did you take the time to drill two holes in the skirt in line with the exhaust bridge? This is per the wiseco install instructions and is supposed to help with oiling on piston skirt.

Let me know if you did or did not and how it worked out.

Jeff it's not for oiling the piston skirt, it's more like adding a little extra lube and cooling to the exhaust bridge, I would drill the holes asper the instructions.

I have an '88 CR 500 monster dirtbike. It blew up and I rebuilt it. I was surprised when I saw that in the directions it said to drill three holes for exhaust port lubrication. That was 2 years ago, and I have since re-ringed it. I haven't had any problems.

I can't remember now but I thought the holes are in my pistons already. If there not I never drilled them and had no problems yet.
