When I was a kid, I always thought this was a really cool sled! When did they make these '80 through '84? Where they anygood? What problems did they have? I think they were fan-cooled? What would one go for these days, say in average condition? Any comments would be appreciated as I have seen one for sale, and am itching to buy one, provided it's not a lemon.

They are great litle sled, yes they are they are fan cooled and almost the same as the SRV but smaller mill and no pogo's up front, the pipes are interchangable between the SRV and ss as well as there was a cool dual intake setup for these sleds, I am almost positive the last year was 85
They go for about $1000-$1500 canadian in my area for a clean one.

I have an 84 ss440, i've did alot of work to :engine, new 1.0 profile track, and alot of small stuff. Thank god its easy to work on, but the track was a #@*%&. I keep up with all the sleds I ride with if not faster. Probably 80 to85 max.
I love my sled not to mention the money i've got in it. i'll never sell it! no one would give me half as much as i got in it.
