speed,
a friend of mine with a zr900 untouched motor was 126 mph at 1600 feet radar, if you can surpass that then i guess you have him hands down. now this guy was asked by a local cat guy to try the sled some because their people couldn't get it over 112 mph in the same distance.

put in your location unless you are running from the law.

You better make it a short race, because anything over 1000ft that 900 flies. I beat every 800 mxz I raced this season including a couple good running rk tech healclickered, and beat the 900 to 1000ft 3 for 3, but after 1000ft the 900 said goodbye in a big way.

Paul,

Was the gentleman's name "Dave" That had the fast 900??  I wonder who set that sled up.
  Sounds like someone I know.

Speed,

Who did the porting??  If rick did the porting you have a chance if tuned by the right person, if it is not and the 900 has been clutched by a certain tunner you are in trouble.

Its the same bottom end as the 02 800 and the pistions are the same size. The stroke is longer  that how they got the 60cc. The porting must be way different because it pulls hard out of the hole and the mid range is unbeliveble. We were in the restarant and this guy had a mach Z piped and set up and was spouting big words. We went out to the river and raced. The ZR is right out of the box and I made that mach Z eat snow dust in a big way( 2 sled lengths in 660 and 1 sled length in a 1000 feet and he couldnt catch me on top either)............The srx7 wouldnt even line up.  The moral of my story is dont snow check the ZR 800 because its a waste of money the 9 is to strong and worth the xtra money.

I never said anything about top speed.....But the fact is its a 115 mph in half mile and a flay out top speed run you will see 120mph...... fact.....  My ZR 800 is capable of atleast 110mph on gps......we geared it way DOWN and still hit 105 with STOCK clutching..
