There was some posts on this back in Jan or Feb, I'll try to find them for you. It isn't that bad a job, just a little intimidating at first.

 

I've searched for a while now, but no luck. You'll want to get some caulking to seal up around any gaps in the front around the suspension, where it meets the bulkhead, that's what I found anyways. Good luck with changing it, it really isn't too bad to change. :thumbsup:

 

I just recently did this on my 440x skidoo. Not realy hard, can be done in a couple of hours if you have everything. Put all the sound insulation and reflective tape on first. Pay attention when taking the old one off. On the ZX chassis the rivets that hold the bpan on also holds the clutch guard. The hood has to come off. Let me know how it goes on the s-chassis because I have a 97 mxz that I might change.

 

Borrow or rent an air pop rivet gun as there are quite a few rivets and you'll find the air tool sets them better than a hand operated one. Use the original Bombardier rivets too, they seem to be better quality than jobber ones. While you have the belly off, check the 2 steering rack accordion seal openings for roundness. If there is any impact near the front of s 2000 chassis' these tend to appear oval, indicating some alignment problems.
