Rev Warning Lights

I finally finally got my sled together for a little ride.

After ten minutes, the "engine" warning light, bottom left of the instrument cluster, orange, came on and flashed I'd say once a second, no beeping. Sled smelled hot. I had the pipe coated, I don't know what else. I'm uptight.

Any thoughts?

Dave,

Check your exhaust temp sensor connection and wiring.. chances are the contact is poor. Since you only mentioned that you had the pipe coated logic says it may be that. Any SDI engine management codes set don't necessarily have a beep that goes with them. Another area overlooked is the air temperature sensor on the air box (disconnected). You need to have the dealer trouble shoot using BUDS to narrow down the problem if its not something obvious.

Good Luck!
